New Nokia Secret Codes

In order to enter theses codes, the phone must be in the idle screen not in any of the menu screens. The idle screen is where you see the operator name, date, time, battery level, signal strength.

*#2820# (*#BTA0#) - Displays the Bluetooth device address of your phone.

*#62209526# (*#MAC0WLAN) - Displays the MAC address of the WLAN (wireless lan) adapter. This is available only in the newer devices that support WLAN.

*#7370# (*#RES0#)- Resets your phone to the default factory settings. Usually you will need this code when you want to reset your phone back to the same condition when you got it for the first time. When the phone ask for security code, the default one is 12345 unless you have specified one yourself.

Warning: Before you do reset the phone, make sure that you don’t have important data and that you know the security code for your phone. Your data on the phone memory will be lost once you reset it.

*#7780# (*#rst0*) - This will soft reset your phone. It is different from *#7370# because all data, like contacts, calendar and notes, are not removed. It will only reset the phone settings, such as profiles, themes and shortcuts. The default lock code is 12345.

*#92702689# (*#war0anty#) - Display the life timer information of your S60 phone, i.e. the total time of phone call in minutes.

Another key combination which is used to hard reset the phone similar to #*7370 which can when the phone cannot reboot.
Switch off the phone then press and hold Call key (Green key) + * key + 3 key + power button for a couple of seconds.

Note: This key combination doesn’t work on all S60 phones.

6232 (OK) Displays the Month and Year of Manufacture

9268 (OK) Displays Serial Number

7332 (OK) Displays the date of the last repairment - if found

7832 (OK) Displays (if found) the date where the phone was purchased

37832 (OK) Set the Purchasing Date MMYY (This date can be set only once!)

87267 (OK) Transfers ALL phone numbers, Logo's, and ringtones from other gsm phones

To activate RBS:

You now have to press the [MENU] and scroll to the 'Eng Field Options' function with the keys, and enable it.

To de-activate RBS,

[pause] [pause] [pause] 1 1 3 [pause] 0 [pause] [ok]

Uses of RBS:

• Distance From Base Station - Place a call, when it is answered, press [MENU] until 'Eng Field Option' is displayed, press [OK], select 'Active Cell', press [OK], press [MENU] until 'Time Adv xxx' appears, where xxx is a number. Multiply this number by 550, and the result is the distance from the RBS (Radio Base Station), in meters.
  
• Signal Quality - press [MENU] until 'Eng Field Option' is displayed, press [OK], select 'Active Cell', press [OK], press [MENU] until 'C1' appears. This is the signal quality. If it becomes negative for longer than 5 seconds, a new cell is selected.
