I bet your boss has gone and promised the world to the clients saying 'Our application will work on every phone on the market.'. When he/she gets back he/she is all happy that he/she landed a deal not knowing what is possible as he/she has the latest and greatest of the smartphones on the market.
Not to worry there is an XML config file which you can go through and tick off all the phones that the application won't work on and email it to him/her with the the attached XML config file and a smiley face.
The WURFL is an XML configuration file which contains information about capabilities and features of several wireless devices.
The main scope of the file is to collect as much information as we can about all the existing wireless devices that access WAP pages so that developers will be able to build better applications and better services for the users.
This project is open-source and is intended for developers working with the WAP and Wireless. All the information listed here has been collected by many different people from many different countries. You are allowed to use WURFL in any of your applications, free or commercial. The only thing required is to make any modification to this file public, following the original spirit and idea of the creators of this project. This will help WURFL to grow better and better every day.

Games you say ?
Mobile Game Developer is a site started at July 2004 and aims to provide a base site for game developers working in the mobile/wireless industry. They consentrate on original features and content, as well as developers resources such as the devices directory, forums and links to other relevent pages around the web which are of interest to developers. They touch the business side but do not target senior executives. This site is first a place for the technical guys that make the mobile games work. The site is based on community work more then on dictated content. And most important - they are all developers working in the industry themselves.
